A 15 minute wonder to brighten your day.
Bathe in white light.
Rather than starting your day by planning how you can fit enough work for a 48hr day into the next 24hrs or ending it that way, why not bathe in rays of relaxing, healing white light?
You will need up to 15 mins of peace and quiet, your imagination and your breath. Not to be attempted when operating machinery or driving a vehicle.
Lie, sit or stand. In bed, in the shower or when you first get to work and you're waiting for the pc to start up. Whatever will be most comfortable without you falling asleep. Close your eyes, take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Allow your whole body to relax and release any tension it may be holding. Do this 3 more times.
Keeping your eyes closed imagine you have a beautiful bright star above your head. Allow the light that is shining on you to focus into the top of your head. Feel the warmth as every muscle fills with beautiful relaxing, healing white light. As you breathe in, imagine waves of light flooding down over your ears, face and the back of your neck. As you breath out allow any tensions, negative thoughts and emotions to leave your body.
Keep breathing your way down your body. Allow the light to fill your arms until it comes out of your fingertips. Fill your torso down to the very last organ. Every vertebrae of your spine, the discs in between your vertebrae. See and feel the energy of this beautiful relaxing, healing white light spread equally down through your hips. If anywhere is aching. Spend a little longer on that bit. Give your knees a good blast, feel it wash down over your shins, into your calves, down into your ankles, through every bone in your feet, until it floods out the end of your toes.
Then let yourself be. Allow a few moments, a few breaths to feel how it feels to be that relaxed. Allow any thoughts to wash over you.
When you are ready to come back, do so gently. Be mindful of your breath for a moment. Take in the sounds going on around you. Feel your body. Smile, open your eyes and look forward.
