This is a subject close to my heart

I was diagnosed with dyslexia (of all the names to call a condition also known as word blindness!) at the age of 6. Fortunately my mum had heard about dyslexia, so started the ball rolling early on, but many are no so fortunate! My school life was at best stressful, but at times could be hell. Teachers and often pupils said that I was lazy or stupid, not understanding that my brain just worked in a different way compared to most people. At one point shortly before my GCSEs I had a teacher tell me that I was lying about my condition and the report confirming it belonged to another child! By my twenties my confidence and self-esteem was in tatters, a far cry from the confident, carefree woman I am today.

It was through my retraining as a hypnotherapist that I learnt to overcome my negative beliefs and conditioning about my own condition, level of intelligence and release my anxiety regarding my abilities.
