from Bristol Hypnotherapist - Lou Palmer

Can a Hypnotic Gastric Band really work?

Most of us have tried dieting with no success; Lou Palmer of Essential Awareness has been using The Hypnotic Gastric Band with fantastic results. In just three sessions (or a one day workshop) your unconscious mind will believe that a gastric band has been fitted, shrinking the size of your stomach to that of a Satsuma, so you will only be able to eat tiny portions of food.
With no surgery needed, this technique brings hope to many overweight people. Not only will you have the band fitted but you will also address your underlying belief and behaviour patterns regarding releasing excess weight, and ridding yourself of a lifetime habit of comfort/boredom eating!
How does it work? In just three sessions of hypnotherapy, your therapist Lou Palmer will take you step-by-step through the medical procedure of a gastric band operation as if you were actually inside an operating theatre, so eventually you began to feel a tightening sensation in your stomach. Curiously, you can remember every part of the ‘procedure’ – including being wheeled into theatre, the clink of the surgeon’s knife and even the smell of the anaesthetic.
You should expect to shed up to three pounds a week because you will believe you have had a band fitted into your stomach.
A real gastric band operation usually costs £7,000 and has the same level of risk related to any major operation including infection and DVT.
Essential Awareness uses a combination of hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, so you will be taken on a ‘virtual tour’ through the ‘operation’ with in-depth guided imagery and visualisation to fit an imaginary gastric band around your stomach, forming a pouch the size of a Satsuma.
After three sessions of the treatment – which is 100% safe because it eliminates the risks of general anaesthetic, DVT and MRSA – you began to feel a tightening sensation in your stomach.
Lou Palmer, who has used this the Essential Awareness Weight Release program on herself has dropped from a large size 16 to a size 14 since October last year (in three months).

‘I had to try it for myself, after hoofing on a large amount of weight after a back accident, I new I needed more than a diet. My eating habits needed addressing just as much as the amount of food I was consuming. I find the combination of therapies has helped me and my clients rethink their whole attitude to food, so they adopt a new lifestyle of healthy eating, making it a long term solution rather than a temporary one! If you try and eat a large portion you will feel a pulling sensation in your tummy as if my stomach is stretching. You simply cannot fit large portions of food in any more.
I have tried! After forcing down my usual portion of Pizza when I had first fitted the band I felt really sick, as if it was stuck in my throat. Not nice, I need to lie down for ages afterwards!’
This treatment is a win-win situation for clients and the NHS, and is great solution for many overweight adults and teenagers who are sadly part of Obese Britain. And although this isn’t in itself new, its application in the weight loss field is believed to be pioneering.
KD from Bristol says, ‘I don’t know how much I have released as I am no longer weighing myself but I have definitely noticed a huge difference physically. My husband keeps saying how much weight I have lost. I feel I look very different when I look in the mirror, both in face and body. I just don’t eat as much; my body just doesn’t want it. I put less on my plate and am eating a lot less in general. There just isn’t the battle in my head anymore, I feel everything is in harmony and I have no idea how it works…it just does

  10. Moderation is the fourth quality of goodness. Nothing should be pushed so far that it becomes a wrong. Moderation is a guide for living life and letting the individual know what is right. In selecting a career, an individual must know, in terms of moderation, his or her capabilities. Sometimes people enter an occupation because they inherit it, because of connections, or on a whim. Each person should step back and ask what career he or she is best suited for before making a decision. The highest calling is public service. Those who would pursue a career in public service must be certain they possess the qualities for leadership of the nation. A good leader is not vindictive and does not enter public service for self-interest, self-aggrandizement, or partisanship. Public serve should be a noble and pure undertaking. The public servant must always act with moderation.

  14. Thanks for the posting. My partner and i have generally observed that almost all people are needing to lose weight because they wish to look slim as well as attractive. However, they do not usually realize that there are other benefits to losing weight also. Doctors state that obese people come across a variety of ailments that can be directly attributed to the excess weight. The good thing is that people that are overweight and also suffering from several diseases can reduce the severity of their illnesses by way of losing weight. You possibly can see a continuous but marked improvement with health if even a minor amount of weight-loss is obtained. dottie s weight loss zone
